Originally founded as a camp for workers building the Dillon Dam, Silverthorne has grown to become the year-round heart of Summit County. Featuring lots of outdoor activities and a thriving arts and culture scene, this small mountain town is best known for its beautiful rivers, rapids, and fishing holes. There are also hundreds of miles of wilderness here, making it the ideal spot for nature enthusiasts.

Outlets at Silverthorne, a multiplex of more than 70 name-brand shops.
Some of the area’s most scenic fairways can be found at the
Raven Golf Course at Three Peaks, which is positioned amid pine and aspen forests, sparkling lakes, and snow-marbled 13,000-foot peaks. There are also several
scenic trails in the area, including the Blue River Trail, which connects the northern and southern portions of town and unites with the Summit County Recreational Pathway System to offer routes to
Dillon,
Keystone, and
Frisco.
